Summer tip of the Month
Summer is here or soon will be, here are a few common sense reminders to help ensure you have a great summer:
For your car –
Check your car’s tires for condition and make sure they are properly
inflated. If you are not sure what to look for most tire dealers will
check your tires for free. Remember to be sure there is air in the
spare!
Buy a sunshield for the front windshield to keep the temperature down in your car and help protect the dash from sun damage.
Have your car’s coolant system checked to ensure all is in order, you don’t want a stalled, overheated car on a hot day.
For your home –
Remember to close the blinds on your home to keep your home cooler during the day.
Water outside plants and lawns during the cooler times of the day and remember to set a timer to conserve water.
If your home has central air conditioning consider a timer so the house is cooled only when you will be there.
For Yourself –
Wear a hat and use sunscreen when going outdoors for an extended period of time.
Drink plenty of water; keep a bottle with you when you are on the go.
If you are going outside with your pet be sure you take water for them as well.
